Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange held in Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex

(BGO)- The provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province on March 19 organized the cheery tree planting and Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange programme in Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex (Son Dong district). This programme is included in the series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations (September 21, 1973- September 21, 2023).

The event was attended by Mai Son, permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Watanabe Shige, Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of Japan to Vietnam, Maeda Toshimichi, Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Chukyo region and Chairman of Sakura project and Yokoi Sanji, Director of Yokoi Mould Vietnam Company Limited, who presented cherry trees to Bac Giang province.

Representatives of Japanese partners present 120 cherry trees to Bac Giang province.

Since 2015, the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Chukyo region has presented Bac Giang province more than 700 cherry trees. Despite different climate and soil conditions, a number of trees have grown well and bloomed when spring comes.

Following such meaningful activities, the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Chukyo region and Yokoi Mould Vietnam Company Limited (located in Dinh Tram industrial park, Viet Yen district) presented 120 cherry trees to Bac Giang province on March 19.

In his speech at the event, Deputy Ambassador Watanabe Shige expected the symbolic flower of the “country of sunrise” would grow well in the holy land of Tay Yen Tu to create a beautiful landscape to attract visitors. Besides, this activity helped to deepen the friendship between Vietnam and Japan and between Bac Giang province and Japanese partners as well.

The permanent Vice Chairman Mai Son presents the picture of Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex to the representative of Japanese Embassy to Vietnam.

On behalf of the government and people of Bac Giang province, permanent Vice Chairman Mai Son expressed his heart-felt thanks for the gifts presented by the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Chukyo region and Yokoi Mould Vietnam Company Limited.

He added, the relations between Bac Giang province and Japanese partners have been finely developed so far. Particularly, Japanese Government has supported the province to implement the projects in traffic infrastructure, health care, education and environmental sanitation through the agencies and organizations of Japan in Vietnam. In addition, the province has received assistance from Japanese non-governmental organizations in humanitarian and environmental sectors.

To date, there have been 27 Japan’s investment projects in Bac Giang, contributing to socio-economic development of the province. Besides, Japan has supported the province in human resource training and sent Japanese experts to help the province in education, health care and investment attraction. He hoped both countries, especially Bac Giang province and Japanese partners would organize more diplomatic activities in coming time.

After the tree presenting and planting ceremony, the participants’ attended the Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange programme.
