(BGO) - The severe climate, several
moves and lack of preserving facilities make woodblocks in Bo Da pagoda
seriously degraded. Facing the actual situation, the People’s Committee in Viet
Yen district (Bac Giang province) will execute the project to preserve and
promote the value of national treasure of woodblocks in Bo Da pagoda since August
2022 till 2024.
The district People’s Committee assigned competent agencies to implement various measures such as cleaning up all the woodblock and document affected by mould and sediment of ink, restoring and reinforcing the damaged ones…

Bo Da pagoda is now home to nearly 2,000 woodblocks with various sizes.
The wood carving blocks have important historical, artistic and religious values engraved by the Lam Te Zen Buddhism’s masters in the Le dynasty - Canh Hung era (1740-1786).
The project aims at promoting the heritage value, preserve the rare and precious documentary, open the cultural exchange to facilitate domestic and foreign visitors to learn about the value.

Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Duong join hands in making Yen Tu world heritage dossier(BGO) – The Complex of Yen Tu Monuments and Landscapes includes a system
of historical and cultural relic sites associated with the birth, formation and
development of the Tran Dynasty and Truc Lam Zen sect in Vietnam. The drafting
of a scientific dossier to submit to UNESCO for recognition of the complex as a
world cultural heritage is underway. Once approved, it is expected to be the
first interprovincial world heritage of Vietnam.
Bac Giang’s Quan Ho Cultural Association join hands to preserve and promote heritage(BGO) - Established in 2016, the Quan
Ho Cultural Association of Bac Giang province has become the common house of
people who love and are able to perform and teach quan ho folk songs. With the
criteria "strong in organization, good in expertise and beautiful in
lifestyle", the association has contributed to preserving and promoting
the national cultural heritage.
Bac Giang promotes cultural heritage value of Tho Ha village with tourism development(BGO) – The Department
of Science and Technology in Bac Giang province on April 19 hold a meeting with
the council to consult, assess and accept the provincial-level scientific
research topic “Research to promote the cultural heritage value of Tho Ha
village with tourism development” chaired by Master Do Tuan Khoa, Director of
provincial Museum.
