Programme highlights Cor ethnic group’s culture

A programme, bringing to the public the opportunity to discover and experience the traditional culture of the Cor people from the Bac village, Tra Son commune, Tra Bong district, Quang Ngai province, was organised in Da Nang Museum, on July 5.

According to Phan Cong Hai, Deputy Director of Da Nang Museum, the programme is one of a series of activities to serve people and visitors when visiting Da Nang city during the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019.

The programme aims to help tourists, especially the young generation and the people of Da Nang city, better understand the unique culture, customs and festivals of the Vietnamese peoples. Since then, everyone has joined hands to contribute to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of Vietnam in the context of integration, he added.

The Cor artisans and artists performed gong duo in combination with folk performances and traditional dance.

Through the performances, the mountain and forest sounds, expressing their strength and martial spirit while proudly promoting the human values and the traditional culture of Cor people, have been reenacted in Da Nang Museum.

The performance of the Ca Dau dance and gongs in festivals, folk songs and knitting craft of the Cor people attracted a large number of students, local people and visitors.

Integrating policies to increase poverty reduction efficiency in ethnic minority areas
(BGO) – Over the last time, with the central and local budgets, Bac Giang province has implemented many policy programmes to support people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, contributing to improving their lives. Festival honours panpipe of Mong ethnic people
A festival honouring the cultural value of Khen (panpipe) of the Mong ethnic minority people will be held in Dong Van town, the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang from April 27-28.
 
Colours of Vietnam’s ethnic groups in spotlight at Culture Village in April
A programme entitled ‘Colours of Vietnamese ethnic groups’ will take place throughout this April at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, in the Dong Mo tourism area of Son Tay town, Hanoi.
