Belt road worth trillions VND links Hanoi to Bac Giang

(BGO) – Stretching 35km with total estimated investment of over 1.2 trillion VND (51.7 million USD), the belt road no 4 connecting the capital to Bac Giang province will be completed late this year.

The project of Hanoi’s belt road no 4, section passing Bac Giang province runs over 35 km and is one of the first section constructed of the belt road. The project is totally invested over 1.2 trillion VND from the provincial budget. The initial point of the route connects from Bac Giang – Hanoi Expressway (Nenh town, Viet Yen district) and the last point of Xuan Cam – Bac Phu bridge (Xuan Cam commune, Hiep Hoa district) links to Soc Son district (Hanoi).

The route is constructed with concrete structure in line with the delta road of third level and 12 meter width. Because of the incompletion, though the route opened to traffic on April 30, it almost serves the local residents in Hiep Hoa district to go to work on farm and small traders.

To date, 20 out of 35 km of the route has been completed with signal systems. It helps connect Bac Giang province to Bac Phu commune, Soc Son district (Hanoi). However, Soc Son district has yet to receive the investment for construction.

The belt road no 4 section passing Bac Giang province has 3 main bridges in which the railway flyover in Nenh town (Viet Yen district) is completed.

The railway bridge of 12 meter width passing Nenh town has two lanes for car and two lanes for motorbike of two way travel.

Xuan Cam – Bac Phu bridge on the route links two banks of Cau river in Soc Son and Hiep Hoa districts with total length of 480m, width of 12m and total investment of 110 billion VND (4.7 million USD). The bridge is scheduled to be inaugurated in early July.

The group of workers are repairing the electric system on the project amid hot weather at 39 degree Celsius.

Apart from two bridges, the belt road no 4 section passing Bac Giang province also builds a flyover of Hanoi Bac Giang Expressway to Quang Chau industrial park (Viet Yen district). As schedule, it will be inaugurated late this year. Upon completion, the belt road no 4 section passing Bac Giang province helps link Viet Yen and Hiep Hoa districts of Bac Giang to Hanoi capital.
