(BGO) – Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) has more than 28,000 ha of fruit tree cultivation, including over 4,140 ha of orange, more than 2,250 ha of pomelo and remaining area of lychee and other fruits. It is now harvest season of orange and pomelo in Luc Ngan with estimated output of 60 – 70,000 tonnes of fruits, up 7-10,000 tonnes comparing to last year figure. Thanks to fruit cultivation, the local farmers annually earn 3 – 4 trillion VND (129 – 172 million USD).
On ripen fruit season, Luc Ngan draws thousands of visitors to enjoy and experience the fruit orchards, local craft villages, landscapes, cultural and historical sites. This year Luc Ngan fair for orange, pomelo and signature products is scheduled on November 20 – 22 at the district Central Square with about 80 booths.
