(BGO) - A ceremony was held at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Tuyen Quang city (Tuyen Quang province) on September 3 night to receive a UNESCO certificate accrediting Practices of Then by Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic minority groups in Vietnam as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Bac Giang and 10 localities are honor to house the heritage, including Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Lai Chau and Lao Cai.
All levels of local authority, sectors and localities in Bac Giang province have focused on conserving the value of cultural heritage in general and the practice of Then in particular, significantly helping enhance the spiritual and cultural life for people.
