Le Thi Thu Hong, member of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission, head of the provincial NA deputy delegation, and Major General Duong Dinh Thong, deputy political commissar of the Military Region 1, meet with Luc Ngan voters.

The delegation included Le Thi Thu Hong, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Chairwoman of the provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission, head of the provincial NA deputy delegation, and Major General Duong Dinh Thong, deputy political commissar of the Military Region 1.

The legislators informed voters of the draft contents of the third session of the 14th National Assembly, which is scheduled to commence on May 22 and wrap up on June 20, 2017, in Hanoi. Deputies will consider and approve some bills. The Question-and-Answer session will take place within three days, up half a day over the previous meeting.

With the candid spirit, voters in Hong Giang and Nghia Ho communes and Chu town pointed to the environmental pollution and shortcomings in implementing some legal documents as well as difficulties in maintaining the people’s credit funds.

Meanwhile, voters from Giap Son, Dong Coc, Phi Dien and Tan Quang communes proposed adjusting and increasing allowances for officials working in trade unions and associations at the grassroots level, and communal police forces. Some constituents asked the NA to revise the Law on the Organisation of Local Governments towards appointing one more Vice Chairperson of the communal People’s Committee.

Regarding the electricity network, voters in Bai Bong hamlet (Hong Giang commune), and Chao Cu hamlet (Giap Son commune) proposed the competent agencies soon fix the damaged and degrading lines and poles due to many years of usage.

Locals in Luc Ngan mountainous district, which has a wide network of rural transport, asked authorities to provide financial support to improve roads and address violations of traffic safety corridors.

Voters in Chu town raise opinions at the meeting

They shared that the agricultural production in the province and Luc Ngan district in particular is facing numerous difficulties, and recommended the State devise more capital incentives for households suffering losses from poor litchi harvest and falling pig prices. Many constituents mentioned restrictions in the management of food safety and hygiene, and fake fertilizers causing harm to production.

Hong said the NA has monitored food safety and hygiene across the country and will hear reports on the issue in the coming time. To address shortcomings in the field, the Party committees, authorities and mass organisations should raise awareness of each local while including regulations on food safety and hygiene in village conventions, thus improving the management efficiency from the grassroots and community levels.

Pertaining to the fertilizers, the State has set new regulations to tighten the management of this product. Through inspections, the provincial NA deputy delegation understood the difficulties of some localities which have only one Vice Chairman of the communal People’s Committee. In the time ahead, the delegation will submit the issue to the National Assembly for discussion.

As regards the allowances for hamlet officials, the deputies hoped the voters will share with the local difficulties due to limited budget, and pledged to send their proposal to the provincial People’s Council for consideration.

The delegation also took note of other opinions of the voters and will report them to the legislature and competent agencies.
