Provincial Party Secretary Bui Van Hai urges to accelerate construction progress of waste treatment plant to ensure the environmental sanitation

(BGO) – 18th People’s Council deputy delegation in the northern province of Bac Giang on November 14 met with constituents in 8 wards and communes of Le Loi, Tran Phu, Ngo Quyen, Tran Nguyen Han, Hoang Van Thu, My Do, Da Mai and Song Mai in Bac Giang city to prepare for the six meeting of the provincial People’s Council (18th tenure).

The delegation included Bui Van Hai, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Vu Thanh Phuong, Chairman of the Bac Giang municipal Fatherland Front’s Committee and Vu Thi Thu Hien, Chairwoman of Women’s Association in Ngo Quyen ward.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Hai discusses several issues relating to the popular concerns of Bac Giang municipal voters.

The event was also attended by Nguyen Sy Nhan, Member of the provincial Party’s Committee’s Standing Board, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee; leaders from several departments, sectors, Peoples’ Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front’s Committee in Bac Giang city.

At the meeting, a representative of the deputy group briefed voters on the implementation of the province’s socio-economic development tasks in the first ten months of 2017 as well as targets, tasks and measures for the last months. Voters were informed of the results of the settlement of their petitions at the fifth meeting as well as the scheduled agenda and time of the sixth meeting of the provincial People’s Council (18th tenure).

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Mai Son analyzes and clarifies voters’ comments and proposals.

The constituents took this occasion to ask the provincial People’s Council of all levels, authorized agencies and localities to handle a number of issues, including environmental pollution in the residential areas; obstacles relating to the house construction project for the families who are living in the old tenement of Habac Nitrogenous Fertilizer Plant (in Tran Nguyen Han ward); shortcomings in the procedure of merging hamlets and residential groups; planning of entertainment areas and family car keeping places among others.

Especially, voters from Tran Nguyen Han ward reflected that the input water to water production plant is sourced from Thuong river which receives the post-treated wastewater of Habac Nitrogenous Fertilizer & Chemical Joint Stock Company (Hanichemco) and living wastewater from the households. Thus, the competent sectors were requested to inspect and supervise the water quality so as to ensure the residential’ health condition.

The representative of municipal leader accepted the proposals then analyzed and clarified several issues relating to the voters’ concerns.

Voter Do Van Cham in Tran Nguyen Han ward proposes ensuring the quality of water for the living.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Bui Van Hai spoke highly of straightforward and responsible ideas of Bac Giang city’s voters, affirming that the provincial and municipal investment attractions have created positive changes in socio-economic development. Also, the living condition of the majority of people has been dramatically improved, the poor households are gradually reduced and more youngsters are employed.

Additionally, he instructed the Bac Giang municipal authority to continue paying attention to effective waste collection and disposal while putting the regulations on environmental protection into the village or ward conventions.

Particularly, he urged the relevant agencies to accelerate the investment and construction progress of waste treatment plant so as to ensure the environmental sanitation and people’s health. Besides, it is necessary to focus on reviewing and suitably planning the cemetery area to meet the local rising demand.

Secretary Hai expected for the people’s deep understanding and high consensus on the policy of removing the old tenement of Hanichemco to build other spacious apartments for them in a new location.

At the same day, the People’s Council deputy delegation of Dang Hong Chien, Vice Head of Legal Board of the provincial People’s Council; Mai Son, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee; Nguyen Long Bien, Chairman of the provincial Buddhist Association; Bui Van Khuoc, Chairman of the municipal Confederation of Labors met with voters in the 8 remaining wards and communes in Bac Giang city.

(BGO) – On October 2, 14th National Assembly deputies of the northern province of Bac Giang met with constituents in some districts and agencies. Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Ngo Sach Thuc had a meeting with voters at the provincial Inspectorate, while Vice Chairwoman of the NA Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children Hoang Thi Hoa met with voters in Yen The district and the provincial Department of Education and Training.

The 14th National Assembly passed a resolution approving the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and related documents in the afternoon of November 12 with 96.7 percent of votes.
