Following Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong’s appeal and with the motto “fighting the epidemic like fighting an enemy”, the entire political system and people have united to battle against Covid-19, he said, adding that the Government and the Prime Minister have made drastic directions and mobilised all available resources to suppress the outbreak hotbeds, particularly in Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province.

The PM highly appreciated the Health Ministry and the military medical force for their prompt direction and assistance in the fight against Covid-19.

Many brave examples and noble deeds have been established by people of all ages and economic and social backgrounds, with most prominent being those in white coats in Da Nang City and the provinces Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue along with others in hospitals, research institutes and medical universities nationwide.

The Government leader also took the occasion to express his thanks to family members and relatives of medical workers for their understanding and empathy in the situation, thus serving as firm support for the white-coated soldiers to fulfil their tasks.

In the context of the unpredictable developments of the Covid-19, he asked the health sector to roll out all efforts to control the spread of the epidemic and provide medical staff with adequate equipment to ensure their safety.

He called on doctors and medical staff across the country to continue staying ready, showing their determination and responsibility, and joining the entire Party and people to win the battle against the epidemic.

The PM also urged people nationwide to continue uniting and working together to support “soldiers in white coats” in the tough and dangerous fight against Covid-19.

He described medical works as people’s heroes, wishing them good health and soon roll back the pandemic, thus accomplishing their task of caring for and protecting public health.
