Vietnam - Laos Friendship Organization in Bac Giang province held Congress at tenure 2020 – 2025

(BGO) – The Vietnam – Laos Friendship Organization (VLFO) in Bac Giang province on November 28 held the fourth Congress, tenure 2020 – 2025 at the provincial Convention Center. 

In the past tenure, the provincial VLFO reinforced the organization and conducted many meaningful tasks to build uo the friendship relation between two Parties, Governments and People in Vietnam and Laos.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Head of the provincial Mobilization Board Pham Van Thinh presents flower to congratulate the Congress.

The provincial VLFO now has more than 3,600 members who join various activities at 9 chapters in the districts, city and 142 grassroots units, up over 900 members comparing to the previous tenure.

At the Congress, the representatives discussed and finalized several key tasks for the upcoming time such as further reinforcing, building and developing the organization in quantity and quality; effectively implementing the programme “Nurturing friendship relation”; actively coordinating to the relevant agencies to introduce and communicate the propaganda information, the Party’s new Decree and Resolution about the people to people diplomatic policies in new era; accelerating the socialization of the expense to better organize its activities and support members; further promoting the humanitarian tasks; introducing the image and socio-economic achievements of Vietnam in general and Bac Giang province in particular to Laos’ people...

Speaking to congratulate the Congress, the Counsellor at Lao Embassy to Vietnam Khamsing Duangvandy believed that the rich experience of the leader board and solidarity spirit will lead the Bac Giang provincial VLFO to greater achievement. The Lao Embassy to Vietnam and the Counsellor are willing to coordinate with the VLFO to foster the traditional friendship relation and special solidarity as well as the comprehensive collaboration between the people at two country.

The Congress elected the Executive Board for the provincial VLFO in tenure 2020 – 2025 with 23 members. Former – Chairman of the provincial VLFO Nguyen Xuan Khoi was re-elected as Chairman of the 4 session.

On the occasion, many collectives and individuals with excellent achievements were honored by Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, provincial People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and provincial Union of Friendship Organizations.

Vietnam presents friendship order to former Mozambican Ambassador
A ceremony was held recently in Brazil to present a Friendship Order to Mozambican Ambassador to Brazil Gamiliel Sepulveda Joao Munguambe, who previously served as Ambassador to Vietnam, for his contributions to bilateral relations.
 
Spanish Ambassador awarded ‘For Peace and Friendship among Nations’ insignia
The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) held a ceremony in Hanoi on July 23 to present the ‘For Peace and Friendship among Nations’ insignia to outgoing Spanish ambassador to Vietnam Maria Jesus Figa Lopez-Palop.
 
Vietnam-Indonesia Friendship Parliamentary Group visits Bac Giang province
(BGO) - On June 14, the Vietnam-Indonesia Friendship Parliamentary Group headed by Tran Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA)’s National Defence and Security Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam-Indonesia Friendship Parliamentary Group, and Ibnu Hadi, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam, paid a working visit to Bac Giang province.
