Incense offered at Vietnam Laos International Martyrs Cemetery

(BGO) – On the occasion of 75th anniversary of War Invalid and Martyrs’ Day of Vietnam (July 27), the Women’s Union cooperated with the Military Command in Bac Giang province to visit and present gifts to 21 Vietnamese Heroic Mother in the province from July 8 – 13, each consisting of one million VND, confectionary and a set of silk clothes.

The Liason Board of Vietnam – Laos voluntary soldiers and military experts in Bac Giang province has organized a delegation to pay tribute and offer incense to the martyrs at Vietnam Laos International Martyrs Cemetery in Anh Son district, Nghe An province.

The delegates offer incense to commemorate their comrades who sacrificed the life for peace.

It was built in 1976 on nearly 7 ha as the biggest cemetery to gather the tombs of martyrs who were Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and military experts scarifying in Laos.

Since construction was completed, the cemetery management board has received and taken care of nearly 11,000 tombs of martyrs in 47 provinces and cities nationwide.

Laos promotes construction of Laos - Vietnam railway’s section

The Lao government has “green-lighted” a feasibility study on a railway route connecting the Vientiane capital with Thakhek in central Khammouane province, part of the Laos-Vietnam Railway Project (LVRP).

 

Thailand plans bus route to Laos, Vietnam

The Thai government is working on a plan to establish a bus route connecting Thailand with Laos and Vietnam as part of its efforts to promote tourism.

 

People-to-people diplomacy important to Vietnam-Laos relations: NA Chairman

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue commended the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association for its contributions to the friendship and special solidarity between the two countries, during a reception for its President Boviengkham Vongdara in Vientiane on May 17.

 

Bac Giang provincial delegation pays visit to Laos’ Xaisomboun province

(BGO) – Ngo Bien Cuong, Director of Department of Foreign Affairs in Bac Giang province led a working delegation to visit Laos’ Xaisomboun province to promote activities under bilateral Cooperative Agreement between two provinces from February 20 – 26.
