Vietnamese, Chinese Party leaders exchange Lunar New Year greetings

Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Saturday exchanged their greetings on the occasion of the coming Lunar New Year.

The two leaders wished the Parties, States and peoples of the two countries a happy new year, and for the building of socialism in each country to gain constant and greater achievements.

They spoke highly of the significance of the official visit to China by Trong last October which saw the issuance of a joint statement to accelerate and deepen the bilateral relations.

Xi and Trong expressed their hope that the two countries will grasp and well implement the high-level agreements and perceptions reached during the visit.
