Humane Phuong Hoang Charity Club

(BGO) – Founded in October 2017, Phuong Hoang Charity Club (Club) in Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province has helped many disadvantaged cases to overcome the challenges in life via the practical deeds. 

Tran Thi Thuy, Head of the Club shared: “The Club has 35 members. With the motto of the leaves protect tattered ones, the Club regularly calls for the donation to raise the fund for the needy as well as organizes many charitable activities such as creating Zero VND clothe wardrobe at Neo town, humanitarian box as well as porridge and meal of love to provide at the district General Hospital”.

Representatives of Phuong Hoang Charity Club present the gift to the family of Dinh Van Quang.

Its model of Zero VND clothe wardrobe has helped hundreds of poor people have warm clothes since the establishment. Also, 100 free portions of the porridge or meal of love are provided to the patient at the district General Hospital on Thursday in the first week of every month.

Whenever receiving the information of any impoverished case, its members call for the donation from the kindhearted people, hence supporting to the needy ones. Typically, Dinh Van Quang in Yen Hong hamlet, Yen Lu commune worked in Taiwan and unluckily got labor accident. His 17-month-old child is suffering from the cerebral palsy. The Club called for the philanthropists to give him an unexpected donation of 7.8 million VND (nearly 340 USD).

Besides, Nguyen Thi Tam who is a mother of two epilepsy kids in Tien La hamlet, Duc Giang commune got a serious accident and then received the support of 31 million VND (over 1,300 USD) from the Club’s fund and donation.

The members of Phuong Hoang Charity Club offer the free meal to the patients at the district General Hospital.

The Club has helped 19 patients with serious diseases as well as built the humanitarian house with a total expense of nearly 400 million VND (over 17,200 USD) since 2017. Additionally, it has offered gifts to the disadvantaged cases on the big holidays with a total amount of 130 million VND (5,600 USD).

Nguyen Thi Le, Head of the district Red Cross Society said: “Recently, the Club has well promoted the humanitarian spirit in the social community. Thanks for the Club’s appealing for donation, many poor households and special difficult families have received the support to overcome the challenges in life. With enthusiasm and love, the Clubs’ members have acted as the extended hand to effectively link the charitable and volunteer campaigns and movements in the local area”.
