(BGO) – The fourth “Dream on the wings” programme in 2019 was launched on September 8 at the Bac Giang provincial Convention Center by the joint collaboration of Bac Giang Newspaper, the provincial Study Encouragement Association and the provincial Association for Protection of Children’s Rights.
Addressing the opening ceremony, on behalf of the Organization Board, Trinh Van Anh, member of the provincial Party Committee, Editor – in – chief of Bac Giang Newspaper pressed on the humane importance and effectiveness of the programme, acknowledged and highly appreciated the organizations, agencies and kind-hearted people in and outside the province who actively sponsored and supported many difficult students in the province to stabilize the life and obtain better study condition to become good children and student with widening future.

In the fourth “Dream on the wings” programme, the Organization Board received nearly 700 million VND (30,251 USD) in cash and kind, including over 420 million VND (18,100 USD) in cash.

Remarkably, many enterprises and individuals decided to donate more after watching the video about the operation and effectiveness of the programme for 3 years. Particularly, Tran Thi Phuong in Hanoi presented 10 million VND more (432 USD) (adding to 5 million VND donated previously) at the first participation in the event; BGBARD donated 50 million VND (over 2,100 USD) and an individual presented 10 million VND…
Thanks to the sponsor and support of the kind-hearted people, 171 poor students in 10 districts and city in the province were presented the scholarships at the programme with various amount ranging from 500,000 VND (21USD) to 7.4 million VND (319 USD) as well as several value gifts.
In total, there are nearly 700 beneficial students in 4 seasons of the event, many of whom receive monthly allowance each worth from 200,000 – 600,000 VND.

The programme’s practical support truly helps many impoverished students overcome the difficulties and well study. In the academic year 2018 – 2019, 42 out of 171 beneficial students were recognized as excellent students while more than 20 cases passed the entrance selection to the universities. Some students were selected to the excellent student group at the provincial and district levels. 4 students won prizes at national and regional contests for excellent students.
To further encourage them, the Organization Board presented gifts to 42 poor students with excellent academic results in school year 2018 – 2019 at the event.
Also, the Organization board tool the occasion to present the insignia and certificate to recognize the golden heart to the organizations, agencies and kind-hearted people who have accompanied the programme recently.
