(BGO) - On the 37th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20 November (1982-2019), Vietnam Youth Federation, Ministry of Education and Training and Thien Long Group jointly held the programme “Sharing with the teachers” and honoring 63 outstanding teachers in ethnic minority areas on 15 and 16 November in Hanoi.
Teacher Bui Thanh Tuan (born in 1986), Secretary of the Youth Union of Luc Ngan boarding school for ethnic minorities is a representative of Bac Giang province honoured at this event.

The school has more than 400 ethnic minority students from grade 6 to grade 12 each year. For over 10 years working in this school, teacher Tuan has been taken the duties as a teacher of Biology and Physical Education and secretary of the school’s youth union. He has advised and recommended the school board with a number of initiatives to improve the teaching quality and nurturing excellent students at Biology and Physical Education.
He has been awarded certificates of merit by the Minister of Education and Training and Chairman of the people’s committee of Luc Ngan district for his outstanding achievements in emulation movements of innovating teaching methods and nurturing excellent students.

At the “Sharing with the teachers” programme 2019, teacher Tuan was awarded certificate of merit by the Minister of Education and Training, Vietnam Youth Federation and Vietnam Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, an order of merit of the “Sharing with the teachers” programme and a saving book worth 10 million VND (432 USD).
This programme has been jointly organized by Vietnam Youth Federation, Ministry of Education and Training and Thien Long Group since 2015 in order to honour and encourage dedication of the teachers in disadvantaged areas.
