Chinese Embassy grants scholarships to students

The Chinese Embassy held a ceremony in Hanoi on December 6 to present scholarships from the Chinese Ambassador to 40 primary and secondary students in the northern provinces of Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen.

Each student received a scholarship worth 3.5 million VND (151 USD).

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo (R) hands over the scholarships to the students.

Speaking at the event, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo congratulated the scholarship recipients and voiced his hope that they will continue to study hard to earn high academic results.

The scholarship award ceremony formed part of activities contributing to the enhancement of the traditional friendship between people of the two countries.

Scholarships presented to poor students in Binh Duong
The Republic of Korea General Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and the Korean Business Association in the southern province of Binh Duong presented 219 scholarships worth over 700 million VND (30,400 USD) to poor students with outstanding academic performance on October 7.
 
Over 170 poor students in Bac Giang awarded scholarships at “Dream on the wings” programme
(BGO) – The fourth “Dream on the wings” programme in 2019 was launched on September 8 at the Bac Giang provincial Convention Center by the joint collaboration of Bac Giang Newspaper, the provincial Study Encouragement Association and the provincial Association for Protection of Children’s Rights.

As many as 179 scholarships totally worth more than 2 billion VND (about 86,140 USD) have been presented to disadvantaged students in the Central Highlands and the south-central provinces of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa.

Odon Vallet scholarships worth nearly 3 billion VND (129,100 USD) were awarded to 276 students in the central provinces of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri at ceremony held in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province, on August 28.
 
Vallet scholarships granted to more than 500 high school students
More than 500 outstanding students from 58 high schools and six SOS children's villages in the north received Vallet scholarships at a ceremony in Hanoi on August 26.
