Bac Giang closely grasps number of people from RoK for health supervision

(BGO) - According to the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA), there are about 1,300 Bac Giang’s people working in Republic of Korea (RoK). Besides, the province is home to 340 Korean people working for the companies outside the industrial parks. The provincial Industrial Zones Authority is urgently checking the number of Korean labourers working in the industrial parks.

According to Nguyen The Dung, DOLISA’s Vice Director, after receiving warning of the Department of Overseas Labour (DOLAB) on complicated developments of Covid-19, DOLISA sent an announcement to the related agencies and labour export companies.

Checking workers’ temperature before getting into the production area at Samkwang Vina in Quang Chau Industrial Park.

Accordingly, they requested to strengthen epidemic prevention for labourers. The companies should only bring labourers to unaffected areas while preventing them to transit at affected areas.

In addition, they will collaborate to direct the study-abroad consultancy companies to announce on the epidemic situations to labourers and overseas students who schedule to go to RoK in coming time for active preventive measures.

Implementing the direction of the provincial Steering Committee for prevention and control of the acute respiratory epidemic, DOLISA is proactively collaborating with other sectors to monitor and grasp the situation of Bac Giang’s labourers in RoK and RoK’s labourers in Bac Giang especially those from affected areas. 

The persons returning from affected areas or contacting with Covid-19 patients will be applied health supervision and compulsory isolation. Besides, it is necessary to provide warnings on disease preventive measures to families having relatives returning from RoK.

As of 18.00 February 24, Bac Giang province has 8 people who returned from Covid-19 affected areas compulsorily isolated for health supervision at the Educational Center of National Defence and Security, Ngo Gia Tu College, 7 of whom returned from China and 1 from RoK.

Currently, there is no Vietnamese labourers in RoK reported infected with the disease. According to a quick report by Vietnamese Labour Management Office in RoK, there are nearly 50,000 Vietnamese labourers working in RoK including 4,000 workers in two novel coronavirus-infected areas of Deagu city and Gyeongbuk province.

(BGO)- The Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA) in Bac Giang province has published 60 Chinese quick learning handbooks related to Covid-19 prevention for the officers and soldiers on missions in the foreigners’ isolated area.
