Good deed to care for policy beneficiaries

(BGO) - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee Le Thi Thu Hong, Head of the National Assembly Deputies in the province on July 23 visited and presented gifts to families of the martyrs in the province. 

In Quynh Son commune (Yen Dung district), Deputy Secretary Le Thi Thu Hong visited and presented gifts to two families, namely Pham Dinh Nhu (father of martyr Pham Dinh Nhuong) in Tan Son village and Nguyen Thi An (mother of martyr Doan Dinh Thinh) in Quynh village.

At the same day, she visited and handed over the gifts of MB Bank to two families in Hoang Van Thu ward, including Nguyen Thi Suu (wife of martyr Le Minh Thanh) in lane 261, Le Loi street and Nguyen Thi Duoc (mother of martyr Nguyen Thi Mua) in Nguyen Dinh Tuan street.

On behalf of the provincial leader, Deputy Secretary carefully asked after the martyrs’ relatives, expressed the deep gratitude to the great contribution and sacrifice of the martyrs’ families to the national struggle for liberation and defense.

She hoped these families would further promote the traditional as the bright example for the next generation while urging the local authority to pay regular attention to caring for the policy beneficiaries and national contributors in the area as well as supporting them to have more contribution to the social life.

On July 23, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Anh Duong and representatives from the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs visited and presented gifts to Thuan Thanh Nursing Center for the Wounded Soldiers (Bac Ninh province).

It was established in April 1965 under the Ministry of Labour, Invalid and Social Affairs. Currently 94 seriously wounded soldiers in 23 provinces and cities nationwide are nursed and treated at the center, including 11 people in Bac Giang province.

At the places, the PPC Vice Chairman asked after the health condition of the war invalids and sick soldiers, pressed his gratitude to their contribution and sacrifice in the resistant wars for liberation and freedom to the country.

He wished the wounded soldiers to recover all difficulties, conquer the diseases to pursuit happy life. The provincial leader handed over the gift worth 6 million VND (258 USD) to the Center and 11 gift packages each worth 1.5 million VND to 11 war invalids born in Bac Giang province.

Also, he presented 30 million VND (nearly 1,300 USD) from “Den On Dap Nghia” Fund of Bac Giang province to support 91 percent war invalid Nguyen Van Soa (Yen Dung district) to build the humanitarian house.

On the occasion, the delegation visited and encouraged the officers at Military Hospital 110 in Bac Ninh province.

PPC Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong presents gift to the wounded soldiers born in Bac Giang province.

To mark the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, besides the gifts from the President and PPC Chairman, the Bac Giang municipal People’s Committee organized visits to present 135 gift sets, each worth 500 – 800,000 VND to the national contributors, invalids and relatives of martyrs in the area.

Additionally, the municipal authority mobilized the budget and Den On Dap Nghia Fund to support 8 policy families in the communes and wards of Le Loi, Tran Nguyen Han, Dinh Ke, Dinh Tri, Song Mai, Song Khe, Tan Tien and My Do to improve their houses (20 million VND to build new house and 10 million VND to repair the house).

Requiem commemorates martyrs in Nghe An
A requiem ceremony was held at the Vietnam – Lao Martyrs Cemetery in the central province of Nghe An on July 18 to commemorate soldiers, volunteers and military experts who laid down their lives on the Lao battlefield.
