Two close friends are good at informatics

(BGO) – Two eleventh graders Nguyen Van Thang and Hoang Quoc Viet are  close friends at Informatics Honor Class (academic year 2019- 2020), Bac Giang High School for the Gifted. They always accompany each other in studying and both were awarded first prize (with perfect score of 100) at the 2020 Young Informatics Contest in Bac Giang province.

Nguyen Van Thang born in Xuan Huong commune, Lang Giang district has had special passion for computer since he studied at secondary school, especially watching 3D model to be shaped on the software.

Regularly Thang spends much time on studying and solving the math by computing algorithm. After passing the entrance exam to Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, the student has sufficient condition to promote his strong point. In late 2018 – 2019, he was selected to the school team of Informatics Excellent Student.

The advanced and intensive curriculum of high school Informatics to the gifted students requested them to focus and try harder than normal one with additionally firm knowledge of math and good application of algorithm.

Persisting to the target, Thang used to spend half of month to find out the answer for a difficult math by using algorithm.

Similarly, Hoang Quoc Viet (Tran Nguyen Han ward, Bac Giang city) loves Informatics from early childhood. Initially, Viet asked his friends or relatives to borrow him the computer. After passing the exam to Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, Viet always secures the first or second ranking in the class in every examination. Then he spent all the bonus to buy his own computer.

“At first, my parents feel worry because they did not know if I really study or play games on the computer. Gradually, after seeing my serious effort, my parents trust in me and allow me to actively arrange the study time,” Viet shared.

Informatics is a new subject to many students. Apart from the studying time on the class under the teachers’ guidance and friends’ support, Viet spends most of the time self studying.

To avoid wasting the time on the online website or games, Viet often hides them away or immediately deletes the sites. Besides, he spends two third of the remaining time on studying other subjects also.

To well remember the lessons, Viet regularly studies at early morning. He accesses to several websites to do more homework or discusses with friends. The friendly student is not only industrious but also active in voluntary activities.

He shared: “I wish to follow the automated industry to approach to diverse job opportunities when deeply understanding about the information technology which can help us succeed in various fields of life”.

At the Informatics team, Thang and Viet always encourage each other to study more and share the student happiness. Two students tried really hard at the provincial 2020 Young Informatics Contest with 3 – 4 hour per days discussing and practising to solve the difficult exams at the school as well as online study.

They also enjoy the shared hobbies such as running and biking to have good health for further study. Hoping that Nguyen Van Thang and Hoang Quoc Viet will achieve more high rewards in the upcoming time.

(BGO) – The Ministry of Education and Training (Vietnam) has coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology at  Hessen State, WUS International University Support (Germany) to grant the scholarships to 93 students studying at the universities and colleges across Vietnam, each worth over 5 million VND (215 USD) at the Temple of Literature (Hanoi).
 
Bac Giang student creates fanpage in English to help prevent and control Covid-19
(BGO) – Two months ago, female student Giap Bui Viet Anh, Monitor of class 12A1 in Luc Ngan 1 High School (Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province) was introduced to the group of foreigner community in Vietnam. After having more foreign friends, she knows that many of them lack information about Covid-19 pandemic. Even some people were upset when accessing to fake news.

(BGO) – Giap Hai High School (Bac Giang city, Bac Giang province) has won many high achievements at the technical invention contest at the province and national levels for recent two years. The success was greatly contributed by teacher Cam Thi Ngoan (1986).  
 
14 students in Bac Giang awarded at Toyota Dream Car Art Contest
(BGO) – Thieu nien Tien phong and Nhi dong Newspapers (Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union) and Toyota Motor Vietnam Company Limited has announced the result of the 19th International Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. 14 candidates from Bac Giang province were awarded 3 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 1 consolidation prize.   
 
Bac Giang strictly implements preventive measures when students return school
(BGO) - The Department of Education and Training (DOET) of Bac Giang province issued the correspondence No 207 on 1 March to allow junior high school students to stay home until the end of 8 March.
