High school students begin graduation exams

Nearly 870,000 high school students nationwide began their graduation exams for the 2019-2020 academic year on August 9.

They began with literature and mathematics tests on the first day of the exams and will with physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, and foreign languages on August 10.

As many as 900,079 candidates registered to take the exam, and 866,946 students completed the relevant exam procedures yesterday. Among the absent contestants, 26,168 students were unable to participate due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Another round of exams will be held for candidates of Da Nang city, a number of localities in Quang Nam province and some candidates who are F1 and F2 cases nationwide.

The Ministry of Education and Training instructed localities to take preventive measures in response to the Covid-19 epidemic, as well as guarding against the possibility of negative phenomena, diseases or fire.
