(BGO) – Teacher Giap Van Quynh (born in 1978) in Bao Dai Secondary School is not only good at his professional work but also active in voluntary campaigns. He has donated blood 23 times and honored with Certificate of Merit form the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee at the ceremony to honor outstanding blood donors in 2020.
In 2000, after graduating from English Education Faculty at Hanoi National University, Quynh returned to hometown to follow teaching career. For 20 years, he has consecutively gained title of excellent teacher with many students winning high prizes at English contests.

Besides, he actively participates in the movements launched by the youth union and trade union, especially blood donation campaign.
Quynh shared: “In 2007, when the district Red Cross Society (RCS) launched the voluntary blood donation, I registered to donate blood as the Head of RCS unit at school. With the first 350ml of donated blood at that time I am happy to party save the poor patient and gain better health. ”
From actual experience, teacher Quynh actively communicates about the meaning of blood donation at the meetings of profession group, school events to the officer, teachers, students and their parents. The real model inspires more people to join the voluntary blood donation campaign.
Annually, 13 to 15 teachers at Bao Dai Secondary School register to donate blood. Personally, Quynh has donated blood 23 times since 2007.
“Donating blood is a good deed to prove the traditional humanitarian spirit to help the patient practically. Thus, I will continue giving my blood as long as I stay healthy,” he said.
Teacher Quynh always encourages his relatives, family members, friends and neighbours to donate blood and receives positive response. His good deed has widespread to people around to call for their engagement with the motto “a sharing blood helps save one life”.
