October is a special month for Vietnamese women and this year October became more special for the female members in the Army Corps because they decided to reserve no effort for the charity work.

Knowing that the flood victims are living without many necessities, especially blankets, curtains, clothes, clean water, food..., via a specific channel of the Women’s Union at the Army Corp, they donated money to buy more essential tools like personal hygiene things, baby clothes, medicines, sanitary pad...for the female resident apart from clothes, instant noodles and food. Every thing was carefully packed to send to the Women’s Union in Ba Long commune to recover the initial difficulties.

In spite of the hard journey, the offices and soldiers always obeyed the principle with charitable spirit to gain practical results. In several day, the delegates helped clean up 15,000 square meters, provide free health examination and medicine to hundreds of people, present nearly 2,000 sets of clothes, 51 boxes of instant noodle and 500 million VND (21,500 USD) in cash.

The natural disaster will be over. The humanity and soldiers’ emotion of the officers and soldiers in the Army Corp No.2 amid the storm and flood are surely shining as the example of the soldiers of Uncle Ho and the people.
