Many types of key agricultural products are about to enter their main harvest season with huge outputs.

Meanwhile, many localities have complained about difficulties in the transport and circulation of produce due to pandemic preventive measures.

Therefore, the MARD proposed ministries consider the issuance of certificates of disease safety for local agricultural products that have strictly followed the Covid-19 safety control process.

In addition, vaccination should be prioritised for drivers and carriers who transport and deliver goods.

At the same time, ministries should provide guidance and ensure favourable conditions for the consumption and supply of goods between pandemic-hit localities and other localities, including agricultural products in quarantined areas.

In particular, ministries should study and negotiate with bordering countries on vaccine passports being applied to drivers transporting, delivering and receiving goods at border gates in order to support and reduce costs for the business community.
