The joy of return

(BGO) – Since Vietnam detected first Covid-19 infection, it has never complicatedly developed like the fourth outbreak. Amid the disease spiral, Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) and Southern localities have been severely affected, including Bac Giang citizens who are living and working there. Nearly 2,000 people have been picked up by Bac Giang provincial authority with immeasurable happiness on return day.

Unforgettable journey

It was nearly one month since the couple of Nguyen Thi Huong (born in 1997) and Tang Tao Mac (born in 1996) in Thanh Cam village, Tan Tien commune (Bac Giang city) have returned to homeland from epicenter of Binh Duong province. They still bear in mind the mixed feelings on the journey home. It was unforgettable journey in life.

Many families safely return home in the repatriation journey from HCMC and Southern localities.

Mac shared that he and his spouse had come to work as leather workers in An Thanh ward, Thuan An city (Binh Duong province) for over five years. When the life became more stable, they decided to have second baby, Covid-19 pandemic outbroke in Binh Duong, forcing companies and factories suspended. Two persons spent time around the boarding room. The hottest period came when Huong was nearly eight month pregnant and her actual due- date came close.

“At that time, I only wished my wife could safely deliver my baby because we were neighboured by several Covid-19 patients at the boarding house. Via the information from the Association of Bac Giang Fellowmen, I knew about the plan to pick up Bac Giang citizen home of local authority and registered,” Mac said.

On September 26 morning, the couple and 920 other Bac Giang citizens presented at Tan Son Nhat International Airport to return home. Coming to Bac Giang city, he and his wife ware taken to centralized quarantine site. Just two days later, she delivered baby boy Tang Minh Khoi at provincial General Hospital.

In the special repatriation journey, not all members could enjoy full happiness but every one feels delighted to return to the hometown. They will overcome any difficulty with the accompany of relatives.

Hope for peace

As estimation, there are dozens of thousands of Bac Giang people coming to work and study at HCMC and Southern localities. When returning to hometown, they strictly followed the centralized quarantine regulation and health monitoring at home because all of them deeply understand the risk of the pandemic.

The couple of Tang Tao Mac and Nguyen Thi Huong is happy to return hometown safely and welcome new member.

After 14 days of centralized quarantine in Van Trung commune (Viet Yen district), the couple of Nguyen Thi Uong (born in 1969) and Nguyen Dinh Te (born in 1968) together with three grand children were allowed to return home in Mo Tho village, Minh Duc commune.

Uong said: “My family has come to work in HCMC for over ten years and returned hometown sometime per year. But it was the most special journey home!”

According to the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), since September 5, the province has organized three batches to pick up nearly 2,000 citizens from HCMC and Southern localities via airplane. Each locality arranged buses to Noi Bai International Airport to take them to the centralized quarantine sites.

Director of provincial DoLISA Nguyen Tien Coi said, with the humanitarian spirit to give at most assistance to provincial citizens in hard time, basing on the disease situation and capability of quarantine organization, Bac Giang sufficiently prepares vehicles, facilities and human resources to quarantine, test and treat any patient so as to ensure care and safety for all returners.

(BGO) – The Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) in Bac Giang province on September 16 announced about the subjects, time, vehicle and expense to pick up second batch of citizens from Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC), Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces for departments, sectors and localities to cooperate during implementation.

The Police Department for the Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) under the Ministry of Public Security will study and integrate travel papers into citizens’ QR codes when people make declarations through VNEID, a recently-launched electronic medical declaration application.
