Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong and Vice Chairman of the committee Mai Son inspect a Covid-19 checkpoint in Huong Vi commune.

As of 3pm on November 2, the district had detected 10 infections. As the cases were reported to have many contacts and it is difficult to identify F1s and F2s, in the immediate future, the district steering committee will focus on reviewing and identifying high-risk cases for concentrated quarantine. The rest will be allowed for home quarantine under the supervision of community Covid-19 teams. The related communes and townships have set up checkpoints in the areas where the patients have come.

Concluding the working session, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong emphasized that there is a large number of people related to the outbreak in Yen The and the risk of infection is high because the F0 cases have visited many crowded places. Therefore, he urged the district Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to urgently implement the following measures: classifying and sending high-risk F1s to concentrated quarantine; and piloting home quarantine for F1s who do not have many contacts and F2s.

He ordered the closure of shops and non-essential service business establishments in Huong Vi commune and Bo Ha township; enhancing communications to encourage grassroots officials and people to limit travelling and strictly comply with 5K regulations, especially wearing masks. Youth union members are assigned to actively guide people to install the PC-Covid application to support testing.

The district police must continue to complete records and coordinate to strictly handle violations, while competent forces should tighten management at checkpoints to not let any related cases go through. Residents from other localities are asked to not go to Huong Vi commune and Bo Ha township during this time if unnecessary.

For local cadres and civil servants, if they do not perform their duties, they are absolutely not allowed to leave their locality. Yen The district must study printing the health declaration form and distribute it to each household for all-people declaration as soon as possible.

In order to soon repel the epidemic, the steering committees for Covid-19 prevention and control at all levels in Yen The need to make their utmost efforts and be determined to control the outbreak within a week.
