The outstanding project of Bac Giang youth ranks second nationwide

(BGO) – On January 8, the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (CYU) announced ten national outstanding youth project in 2021. From the gained benefit and effectiveness, the project “Applying digital technology supports farmers to consume agriculture products” of the Youth Union in Bac Giang province was rank second out of ten projects.

It was created in May 2021 at the hard Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in Bac Giang province when the harvest time for many farm produce came, especially lychee.

The officials and soldiers support farmers in Giap Son commune (Luc Ngan district) to harvest lychee.

To support local farmers in product consumption, the provincial Youth Union joined hands with the Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency (under the Department of Industry and Trade) and E-Commercial Platform Sendo to accompany Luc Ngan farmers to sell 150 tonnes of lychee at the programme “Blue shirt – Red lychee – Golden heart”.

At the same time, the provincial Youth Union realized video to promote local farm produce, built youth store to assist farmers to sell lychee at the provincial Cultural Building for Children so as to raise fund for Covid-19 Vaccine Fund.

All chapters and units of the Youth Union in the province joined hands to consume nearly 3,000 tonnes of local agriculture products while sending document to the youth union in other neighboring provinces and cities asking for help organize the points to sell farm produce.

Vietnam’s chess team wrapped up their campaign at the 2021 Asian Youth Online Chess Championship in style smashing four gold medals in various Boys and Girls age groups to settle for second place overall, just behind the Indian delegation. The Boys section that concluded on October 31 saw Vietnam sweep three of the six titles in total thanks to Tran Duc Duy (U8), Nguyen Quang Minh (U10) and Nguyen Huynh Minh Thien (U18).
