Bac Giang cares for social policy beneficiaries and poor people on Tet occasion

(BGO) – On January 18,  the Standing Vice Secretary of Bac Giang provincial Party Committee (PPC), Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Le Thi Thu Hong presented Tet gifts to Luc Nam district.

This time, 1,800 gifts were handed over the representative of Luc Nam district to give to poor households. Tan Thinh Construction Company Limited donated 1,000 sets, Fuji Bac Giang Development Joint Stock Company presented 500 sets, Toan Cau GNT Co.,Ltd gave 150 sets and Tritaco Trading and Erection Co.,Ltd presented 150 sets.

On behalf of the provincial leader, the PPC Vice Secretary thanked the businesses for the joint effort to care for the poor in Luc Nam district in particular and Bac Giang province in general. These gifts will help encourage and party share the difficulties with the needy so that they can enjoy a warm Tet occasion.

Luc Nam district now has 3,420 poor households, 2,559 near poor families. The district strives to present Tet gifts to 100 percent of these cases from the budget and socialization.

Ahead of Lunar New Year from January 17 – 26, the municipal leaders visited and presented gifts to national contributors, elder persons, poor and near poor families and disadvantaged households, each worth 500,000 – 800,000 VND.

Also, they organized trip to visit and present Tet gifts to the provincial Nursing Center for National Contributors; Lang Giang district Nursing Center for Severely Wounded Soldiers; provincial General Social Protection Center and provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center, each worth 2.5 million VND.

The expense was mobilized from municipal source of social welfare. To bring Tet to everyone, the city assigned wards and communes to mobilize the Fund for the Poor and Socialization source to gift to 206 poor families and 323 near poor households in the area.

Previously, the municipal leader gifted 800 sets to the poor in the districts of Luc Nam, Luc Ngan, Son Dong and Yen The with total amount of 400 million VND.

Warm Tet for workers and the poor

After a difficult year with severe impacts of disease, the task is highly focused and implemented earlier.

Consumption of Yen The tea up 20 percent on Tet occasion

(BGO) – Yen The district (Bac Giang province) has grown more than 500 ha of tea, mostly in the communes of Xuan Luong, Canh Nau, Dong Tien, Dong Vuong, Tam Tien and Dong Tam, 450 of which can be harvested now.
