Bac Giang appeals and receives 46,000 Tet gift sets worth 23 billion VND

(BGO) - Responding to the campaign “Tet for the Poor in 2022”, Bac Giang province has called for donation and received 46,000 Tet gift sets totally worth 23 billion VND ( one million USD), including 34,639 gifts for the poor; 12,823 sets for near poor families and others, reported the provincial Fatherland Front’s Committee.

The businesses, organizations and agencies with high donation consisted of Lam Son Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company (6,570 sets); Tan Thinh Construction Company Limited (6,500 sets); Dai Phuoc Group Joint Stock Company (3,000 gifts)...

10 districts and city completed the target to present Tet gift to all poor households. Typically, Bac Giang city presented 2,400 gifts to the poor in five districts of Yen The, Luc Nam, Luc Ngan, Son Dong and Lang Giang, each worth 500,000 VND (apart from gifting poor families in the city with value of one million VND per set).

Besides, Viet Yen district presented Tet gifts to poor people in Son Dong and Yen The district with total value of 300 million VND in addition to the gift for needy case in Viet Yen (each worth 800,000 VND).

As of January 25, all the above mentioned gifts were transferred to localities to hand over to the poor and near poor households.
