(BGO) - It is only fews more days to come the badminton competition at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) which takes place at Bac Giang provincial Gymnasium. Bac Giang city has exerted highest efforts to prepare, beautify the urban area and ready to welcome international athletes and guests.
Joining hands to beautify the city
All facility preparations have been basically doned to serve badminton competition at SEA Games 31. At the provincial Gymnasium, the functional rooms are sufficiently equipped with equipments and devices to meet the condition, standard and requirement from organization board.

The court and lighting system are qualified as international standard. Internet line, data cable tie points are installed together with backup power source in case of power failure.
Many organizations and agencies in the province and city have urgently conducted tasks to decorate, clean up, restore the landscape around the competition and accommodation places. Thousands of eye catching panels, flags and mascot Saola are placed to create highlight at the provincial Gymnasium, main routes and residential areas such as Hoang Van Thu ward, Ngo Quyen ward, Dinh Ke ward, Muong Thanh hotel, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, Tran Nhan Tong street among others.
Implementing the direction from the municipal leaders, all wards and communes have launched peak periods in April and May to mobilize people to clean up the environment. The organizations, companies and many households in three routes of Hoang Van Thu, Hung Vuong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai have beautified the front side of the office and houses by decorating light systems.
Thoroughly preparing conditions
The opening ceremony of SEA Games 31 will be held on May 12 at My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi). The badminton match takes place from May 16 - 22 at Bac Giang provincial Gymnasium with the participation of 135 athletes from eight countries.

It is a good chance to promote the image of the land and people in Bac Giang; attract visitors; enhance capability to host big events and stimulate sports movement to improve physical health.
The province and city have ordered all bodies to further review, inspect to supplement and complete the facility at the provincial Gymnasium; sufficiently arrange equipment and devices together with programmes to handle any arising issue.
The municipal People’s Committee directed the competent forces, wards and communes to ensure the public order and security around the competition venue; make plan to arrange parking place for representatives, athletes and spectators.
The LED display will be operated at February 3 Square to promote the image of Bac Giang and broadcast live all badminton matches to entertain fans and people.
The management board at relic, entertainment and tourism destinations in the city are requested to thoroughly prepare conditions to welcome and promote the image of Bac Giang city to international friends.
Head of municipal Culture and Information Division Pham Hung Son said in the upcoming days, all competent forces, wards and communes will continue communicating to help people aware of the policy, purpose and meaning of preparation for the important sport event to be held locally so as to actively respond, maintain Green Sunday to clean up environment, beautify the street and office.
All citizens should behave and communicate friendly and politely to build good impression on visitors.
