Bac Giang receives additional 19,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses for children

(BGO) - As of May 10 afternoon, Bac Giang province administered 39,917 vaccine doses as the first shot for children aged 5 to under 12, accounting for 15.34 percent.

Lang Giang district topped the localities with 6,194 doses, followed by Hiep Hoa (5,441 doses) and Viet Yen (5,307 doses). Tan Yen district and Bac Giang city only covered over 11 percent of total children aged 5 to under 12 because many kids in this age group are contracted to novel coronavirus and yet to be injected.

To accelerate the vaccination progress for qualified children, Bac Giang has been allocated additional 19,000 Moderna Covid 19 vaccine doses (0.25ml) by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, which will be distributed to districts and city for urgent vaccination to complete before May 31, 2022.

So far, the province has injected over 4.2 million Covid-19 vaccine doses to 100 percent of adult population (first and second shots), 99.5 percent of people aged over 18 (third shot), 100 percent of children aged 12 - 18 (first shot) and 97.6 percent of children aged 12 - 18 (second shot).

On May 10, the Department of Health distributed 6,000 more Vero Cell vaccine doses to the Medical Center at the provincial industrial parks to administer booster and repeat shots to workers who were injected this vaccine type previously.

Over 15,000 children aged 5 to below 12 in Bac Giang vaccinated against Covid-19

(BGO)- According to the provincial Department of Health, more than 6,600 children aged from 5 to below 12 have been vaccinated against Covid-19 as of April 26. To date, more than 15,000 children in the province have been provided one vaccine shot since the beginning of the vaccination campaign for children (April 19).

(BGO) - On April 21, Bac Giang province continued vaccinating children aged 5 to under 12 against Covid-19. About 1,331 children in six districts of Son Dong, Yen the, Luc Nam, Yen Dung, Viet Yen, Tan Yen and Bac Giang city were inoculated at the same day.

 

Bac Giang starts vaccinating children aged from 5 to 11 against Covid-19 from April 19

(BGO) - The Vice Director in charge of Bac Giang provincial Center of Disease Control (CDC) Le Tien Cuong on April 18 confirmed that the Center has received 18,600 Moderna vaccine doses which are distributed to districts and city for children Covid-19 vaccination from April 19.

 

Viet Yen honors security guard of district People’s Committee for saving two children

(BGO) – On April 7, Chairman of Viet Yen district People’s Committee (Bac Giang province) decided to bestow Certificate of Merit to Hua Hong Duc (born in 1961) who works as the security guard at the district People’s Committee (DPC) for his bravery to save drowning children.

 

Bac Giang continues “Dream on the wings” programme for poor children

(BGO)- The 6th “Dream on the wings” programme for poor children jointly held by the provincial Association for Protection of Children’s Rights, Bac Giang Newspaper, and the provincial Study Promotion Association will award scholarships to children in the districts and city in late September 2021.
