Over 73,656 USD paid as housing rent support for Bac Giang labours

(BGO) - Implementing Decision No.08/2022/QD-TTg on March 28 of Prime Minister about implementing housing rent support for labours, the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) has promptly made plan and directed relevant departments, sectors and agencies to communicate and instruct businesses and labours to complete the procedure to receive the assistance.

To quickly handle the application, the PPC authorized the People’s Committee in the districts and city to approve for the list and expense for housing rent support for local labours.

Many labours at Crystal Martin Vietnam Company Limited in Quang Chau industrial park propose to receive the housing rent support in line with Decision No.8.

According to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), the People’s Committee in Bac Giang city and three districts of Viet Yen, Yen Dung and Hiep Hoa received proposals from 207 turns of enterprises to support more than 96,400 turns of labours with total amount of nearly 48.5 billion VND (2.1 million USD).

So far, the People’s Committee in Bac Giang city and three above mentioned districts have approved for 158 turns of companies to assist over 23,700 employees with total amount of over 12.1 billion VND.

To date, four localities have paid over 73,656 USD to more than 3,400 labours, in which over 3,300 people working at 29 enterprises were benefited from housing rent support and the remaining were labours returning to the market.

As the schedule, August 15 will be the deadline for application submission from businesses. Thus, to ensure the legitimate rights for the labour, DoLISA continues cooperating with the Industrial Park Management Board in the province, sectors and localities to instruct and expedite the companies to proceed the application to timely pay for the labours after receiving the supported expense.

The People’s Committee in the districts an city should accelerate the progress of verifying and approving for the application while paying due attention to allocating and arranging expense to complete the payment for approved cases.
