More than 102,000 young workers supported in job seeking

The Hanoi Municipal Youth Union held a conference in Hanoi on July 15 to summarise a programme on supporting the youth in creative start-up ativities during the 2018-2022 period.

After five years of implementation, the programme has completed all 12 targets set out with impressive numbers.

Representatives of the Hanoi Municipal Youth Union award Certificates of Merit to units for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Programme.

The programme is part of a series of activities to support young people to start up and get rich legitimately through many innovative, creative and suitable solutions.

After five years with many creative, practical and effective models, examples of young entrepreneurs from schools have appeared, successfully mobilising capital totalling millions of USD.

The Youth Union facilities in the capital have completed all 12 of their set out targets, in which, the Hanoi Municipal Youth Union has coordinated with related units to organise many activities to support loans worth over 940 billion with preferential interest rates for union members and young people to start up their businesses.

In addition, the Municipal Youth Union has supported successful job searches for more than 102,000 young people, with more than 9,000 businesses participating in recruitment.

Despite the impacts of Covid-19, Hanoi still managed to create 136,616 jobs in the first ten months of 2021, equivalent to 85.3% of the full-year target, according to the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
