Bac Giang News wins collective and third prize of Press awards in transport

The Ministry of Transport held a ceremony in Hanoi on August 25 to honour the winners of the third press award in the transport sector. Bac Giang News wins collective and third prize at the event.  

At the ceremony, two first, three second, five third, and 15 consolation prizes were presented to the most outstanding entrants.

Bac Giang News won collective and third prize of Press awards for the article “Zero dong site clearance widens the road and eases vehicles” of reporter Trinh Lan. It was the third consecutive year Bac Giang News won collective and individual prizes of Press awards in transport.

The winning entries stood out from nearly 230 submissions, sent by more than 40 press agencies across the country.

According to the Editor-in-chief of Giao Thong (Transport) Newspaper Nguyen Ba Kien, who is head of the jury, the entries were presented in various forms of media, including long-form, eMagazine, Infographics, and photo stories, reflecting the authors’ creativity and deep investment in their works.

The entries not only provided a review of the transport sector but also proposed feasible solutions to improve the sector’s operation.

On this occasion, the organising board announced the launch of the fourth press awards in the transport sector, calling for entries published from September 1, 2022, to July 1, 2023.

Transport ministry approves North-South Expressway sub-projects in 2021-2025
The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has approved 12 sub-projects of a mega project to build the eastern section of the North-South Expressway in the 2021-2025 period.
 
12 new north-south expressways to cost $6 bln
12 north-south expressway projects between 35-83km long, set to be completed by 2025, are expected to cost VND147 trillion ($6.27 billion).
 
Automatic toll collection compulsory on all expressways from next month
All vehicles must use electronic toll collection (ETC) system when travelling on expressways from August 1, according to a notice of the Ministry of Transport (MoT) recently sent to cities and provinces nationwide.
