Nearly 134,600 trade unionists benefited from cooperative agreement

(BGO) – The Labour Confederation in Bac Giang province on December 13 held a meeting to conclude cooperative agreement about welfare programme for members of trade union and labours in 2022.

Implementing Programme No.1734/CTr-TLD on November 14, 2019 of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour about enhancing welfare and benefit for the trade unionists and labours in 2019 – 2023 period, the provincial Labour Confederation (PLC) issued specific plan, target and solution annually.

In 2022, the PLC inked 13 cooperative agreements and minute of understanding with 13 units and businesses to implement welfare programme for the trade unionists and labours, making up total number of inked agreements to 35 since 2019 which offering the beneficiaries with products and services from cooperated partners at preferential and discounted prices from 5 to 70 percent.

In 2022, nearly 134,600 turns of trade union members and labours were benefited with total value of over 30.1 billion VND (1.27 million USD). Especially, the PLC has cooperated with local agencies and organizations to successfully launch the third programme of “Stall for labour in 2022” in associated with the campaign “The Vietnamese prioritize to use Vietnamese goods” in October.

104 stalls from 60 local agencies, businesses and cooperatives and 9 neighboring provinces introduced more than 50,000 Vietnamese goods at discounted price of 10 to 70 percents to the labours. The PLC issued 2,000 discount vouchers to labour for buying commodities, opened “Zero VND store” to support nearly 2,000 disadvantaged circumstance.

Besides, in 2022 the partners accompanied the trade union at all levels to conduct social activities, presented gifts to impoverished members, supported expense to build Trade union cozy house…totally worth over 4 billion VND.

In the upcoming time, the PLC continues signing agreement with more producers to provide diverse goods at further preferential price for the labours; persuades employers to facilitate the partners to access, introduce product and offer goods and service to the workers; call on partners to organize more social welfare activities to help the needy cases and improve the labour life.

On the occasion, the PLC inked four more cooperative agreements with Bac Giang branch of Vietnam Yakult Company Limited (2022 – 2025 period), Hai Ha – Kotobuki Company Limited, Minh Tien Berest Coporation Joint Stock Company, Thanh Cong Insurance Company Limited (2022- 2027 period).

10 partners and agencies were honored with PLC’s Certificate of Merit for their active implementation of cooperative agreement and many benefit for the trade unionists and labours.
