On every Friday, Chairman or Vice Chairman of the people’s committee of Vinh An commune works at the one-stop-shop division to sign papers related to administrative procedures. |
Similarly, Tran Thi Mai (in the same commune) did not have to wait too long to receive notarized documents, thus she very satisfied.
“Previously, I had to wait for 1 or 2 hours even half of a day or until the next day for the results of the administrative procedures. Since the one-stop-shop of the commune launched the “None appointment Friday”, all of the administrative procedures are handled immediately, hence I do not have to travel many times”, said Mai.
The initiative “None appointment Friday” has been implemented by the people’s committee of Vinh An commune since May 2022. Accordingly, the communal people’s committee arranges the Chairman or Vice Chairman to work directly at the one-stop-shop to sign papers for the applicants every Friday. Thanks to this initiative, the number of citizens come to deal with administrative procedures on “None appointment Friday” increases by from 20 to 30 percent compared to other days.
Son Dong is a poor district with many remote villages and hamlets facing hard traffic conditions. In order to facilitate people, the district people’s committee has launched the movement promoting initiatives and new solutions in dealing with administrative procedures since middle 2022.
In An Lac commune, the communal people’s committee carried out survey to evaluate satisfaction of organizations and individuals upon quality of handling administrative procedures by scanning QR code on app zalo. Accordingly, the locality set up QR code for citizens to access and give their opinions by selecting the survey contents and criteria instead of paper survey. Then, the software immediately updates the results into the automatic system helping the leaders of the communal people’s committee seize the satisfaction as well as opinions and complaints of the people to give prompt solutions for overcoming.
In addition, the initiative “Overtime working on Tuesday and Thursday” of the one-stop-shop of Giao Liem commue is also highly evaluated.
Since 2022, the communes and towns in the district have received and handled over 24,000 dossiers including more than 22,700 dossiers resolved ahead of time limit, 1,300 dossiers handled on time and only 89 overdue dossiers (0.36 percent). |
In fact, implementation of initiatives and new solutions has helped the one-stop-shops in the communes and towns to improve their efficiency and handle the assignments in a quick manner. As a result, the quality of handling administrative procedures has been improved with decreased rate of overdue dossiers. Since 2022, the communes and towns in the district have received and handled over 24,000 dossiers including more than 22,700 dossiers resolved ahead of time limit, 1,300 dossiers handled on time and only 89 overdue dossiers (0.36 percent).
As administrative reform is defined a breakthrough, in coming time the district people’s committee will use financial resources to invest in facilities for communal-level governments. Of which, they will prioritize providing equipment at the one-stop-shop divisions to facilitate performing administrative procedures at level 3 and level 4, thereby gaining people’s satisfaction. For the communes planning to improve and repair their headquarters, the district requested to arrange the one-stop-shops at convenient locations, which are easy to find with appropriate area for dealing with daily work.
