BAC GIANG - The delegation of Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) led by Tran Hai Linh, member of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and VKBIA Chairman had a meeting with the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province on September 11.
Speaking at the meeting, permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Son stressed Bac Giang has been a highlight in economic development in Vietnam recently. The province’s economic growth has been in top leading localities nationwide.

Besides, the quality of human resources has gained dramatic changes. Currently, the province is taking part in the EPS programme sending Vietnamese labourers to work in the Republic of Korea (RoK). To date, 1,700 labourers of the province have gone to work in RoK under this programme.
The province expected to cooperate with VKBIA in high-quality human resource training to supply Korean market and Korean businesses operating in the province and the region.
In response to the recommendations of Bac Giang province, Tran Hai Linh stressed the Association is willing to accompany the province to foster investment attraction. In addition, they will facilitate the province to organize investment promotional conferences in RoK, boost export activities and cooperate in high-quality human resource training and recruitment for Korean businesses in Vietnam. He added, labourers need to understand about Korean culture apart from skill requirements.
In his conclusion, the provincial permanent Vice Chairman Mai Son thanked the working delegation for visiting the province and highly evaluated the effective performance of VKBIA so far. With the information provided by VKBIA, the province will continue to effectively implement investment attraction and human resource training.
Besides, he hoped the Association would keep their continued support and cooperation to help Bac Giang province attract more Korean investors, thereby promoting industrial development of the province.
The Association was also expected to connect Bac Giang with some localities in RoK for cooperation in industrial development. The provincial Department of Foreign Affairs was appointed as the contact agency to sum up the recommendations of the province to VKBIA for implementation in coming time.
On the same day, the delegation toured Van Trung industrial park in Viet Yen district.
