Bac Giang improves quality of welfare programs for employees

BAC GIANG - On September 19, the Bac Giang provincial Confederation of Labor held a conference to deploy solutions to improve the quality of welfare programs for trade union members and workers.

Implementing the Program of the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam on improving welfare and benefits for trade union members and workers in 2019-2023 period, the provincial Confederation of Labor issued an implementation plan.

To date, the provincial Labor Confederation has signed 45 cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding with 46 units and businesses.

The partners provide essential services and products such as consumer goods, food, garments, electronics, refrigeration, credit, health care... at preferential and discount prices from 5 percent to 70 percent.

Through cooperation agreements, more than 134,000 trade union members and workers from more than 1,100 grassroots unions can access and use services, buy goods and products and receive gifts with a total benefited value of over 30.2 billion VND.

Besides, the partners have also launched social security activities to take care of workers' lives with a total cost of more than 6 billion VND.

At the conference, the Provincial Labor Confederation informed the plan to organize the 5th edition of Booth Program for Workers in 2023. It is expected to be held in three days (from October 6 to 8) at Hosiden Company Limited in Quang Chau Industrial Park (Viet Yen district).

In the coming time, the provincial Labor Confederation will focus on directing all levels of trade unions to coordinate with partners, continue communicating and actively implementing the agreements while expanding the cooperation agreements with units and businesses that directly produce goods and services.

At the same time, the Labor Confederation coordinates and supports partners in approaching union members and workers to provide the preferential goods and services the most favorable manner together with social activities of the trade union.

More than 73,000 turns of trade unionists benefit from welfare programme

(BGO) - Responding to 2022 Month for Worker toward the target “Adequate benefit, better welfare”, the Labour Federation in Bac Giang province has inked cooperative agreement about “Welfare programme for trade union members and labour” in the period 2022 - 2025 with two partners of Nutriday Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Hoang Gia Pharmaceutical Southeast Company Limited.
