Technology demonstration booths at Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Day 2023 (AI4VN 2023) opened on the afternoon of September 21, attracting droves of AI lovers.

With the theme "Artificial Intelligence Empowering Life," the main session of the AI Summit 2023, which opens on Friday, has attracted thousands of registrations from AI-interested communities.

The session will open at 8:30 a.m. and will be reported online by VnExpress. The event is expected to draw the participation of government leaders, ministries, large corporations, scientists, and members of the community interested in technology development and AI applications.

At this forum, notable domestic and international speakers will share their stories and experiences to contribute to the development of the AI ecosystem in Vietnam.

The first presentation at AI Summit will be given by Pablo Fuentes Nettel, a Senior Consultant at Oxford Insights, who will be updating the "Government AI Readiness Index."

He will suggest certain ways to explore the potential of Vietnam's dynamic economy, young population, and the presence of tech unicorns by summarizing the perception of global AI readiness and investigating measurement indicators in Vietnam throughout the last year.

Following his presentation, specialists from VinBigdata, Naver, VNPT, and Aqua will discuss how to apply AI in the future, as well practical implementation experiences in Korea.

Five technology giants, Aqua, VinBigdata, FPT, Veronica, and Tri Nhan, will bring AI application products to the stage to wrap up the discussion sessions, illustrating how technology is implemented in business and life.

At 1:30 p.m., the event continues with the CTO Summit on the topic "Vietnamese Enterprises in AI Trends."

Leaders from VNPT and FPT Smart Cloud will be presenting beneficial AI solutions for different business categories, including insurance, media, and programming. Experts from Heineken, VNPT, and FPT will discuss and propose early-stage experiences to help Vietnamese businesses avoid missing the opportunity to capitalize on AI trends.

Following that will be the Best Technology Environment Enterprise Awards ceremony, which is going to be held for the first time.

The organizing committee selected 15 businesses from 50 candidates to proceed to the next phase, and the results will be revealed at the end of the business forum.

This showcase aims to honor businesses that foster creativity and innovation, promote technology application, resolve growth challenges with technology, enhance business operations, and create an ideal technology environment for employees.

In addition, the AI Expo exhibition space will be open for two days, with 30 exhibitors demonstrating in the AI Show. Domestic and international businesses and organizations will be displaying multi-industry technology application solutions and recruitment booths.

On Thursday afternoon, the event kicked off with three AI Workshop sessions updating participants on a series of outstanding artificial intelligence trends in the fields of finance, health care, and generative artificial intelligence in businesses.

For each topic, speakers and AI experts sought solutions to current challenges and ways to maximize the benefits of AI technology.

Also on the same afternoon, a workshop co-organized by the British Embassy with the theme "Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence," discussed responsible artificial intelligence at the core of technology applications, how to approach and develop artificial intelligence standards, ethical issues, and policy decision-making.

Bui Thu Lam from the Club of Faculties, Institutes, and School of Information Technology and Communications (FISU) evaluated the topics mentioned at AI4VN and other recent development trends in artificial intelligence.

He said he expected that, in addition to supporting the timely updating of AI technology with the latest applied research results, AI4VN will be an important inspiration for the research, development, and application of artificial intelligence in Vietnam.

AI4VN 2023 is directed by the Ministry of Science and Technology and organized by VnExpress in coordination with FISU. After 5 years, AI4VN has gathered a total of more than 10,000 participants and more than 100 speakers towards developing a sustainable AI ecosystem in Vietnam.
