50 preferential booths launched for workers

BAC GIANG – The first “Booths for workers” programme in 2023 (Programme) was launched on December 9 and 10 by the Labour Federation in Luc Nam district (Bac Giang province) in Doi Ngo town. It aimed to take care of the material and spiritual life as well as bring practical benefits to workers.

43 units and businesses participated in the Programme with 50 booths. 25 boots of communes and towns displayed and promoted typical regional products and local safe farm produce.

The Labour Confederation hands over the gifts to impoverished workers.

15 booths were set up by partners signing cooperation agreements with the Provincial and District Labor Confederation. 10 booths provided legal advice, free medical examination and others.

In particular, the Zero VND booth at the Programme offered many goods and necessities with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND donated by various units and businesses as free gifts to workers.

The event also featured cultural exchange activities and folk games.

The Provincial Labor Confederation and Luc Nam District Labor Federation handed over 40 million VND (over 1,700 USD) to support union members to build a "Cozy Union House" and gave 30 gifts to disadvantaged workers.
