Bac Giang player Luong Hoang Tu Linh wins bronze at World Youth Chess Championships

(BGO) - The World Youth Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2019 took place in Spain from September 11 – 17. At the event, Bac Giang chess player Luong Hoang Tu Linh had a success competition.

Competing at the U 14 women’s singles event, Luong Hoang Tu Linh excellently gained 6 points in 9 matches which helped her win a bronze medal.

Meanwhile, another player in Bac Giang province Hoang Quoc Khanh scored 5.5 in 9 matches at the men’s singles category to secure 17th position in the overall ranking.

After finishing the rapid chess, two players and their team mates in Vietnam Youth Chess Team will compete in the blitz chess’s singles event.
