Bac Giang win 4 medals at national youth tennis championship

(BGO) – The 2019 National Youth Tennis Championship successfully closed after 8 day competition (from November 2 - 9) in Vinh city, Nghe An province. Bac Giang delegation won 4 medals (2 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze). 

Particularly, the gold winners were Vi Trung Kien at the U 10 men’s singles and duo Giap Minh Tam and Nguyen Tra My at U14 women’s doubles event.

Bac Giang players (first podium) are awarded gold medal at U14 women’s doubles event.

Besides, athlete Phan The Nhat Minh bagged a silver at U10 men’s singles while Nguyen Tra My gained a bronze at U14 women’s singles category.

The 2019 National Youth Tennis Championship gathered 135 athletes in singles and 70 players in doubles contents from 14 delegations of the provinces, cities and clubs across the nation.

12 athletes of Bac Giang delegation joined 4 contents of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles at the age groups of U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18.

The annual event welcomes the young tennis talents in Vietnam as well as encourage the numerous participants to practise the sport to boost up the domestic tennis movement.
