Vietnamese Ambassador to RoK presents gifts to U23 team

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea (RoK) Nguyen Vu Tu and Honorary Consul General of Vietnam in the RoK’s Busan-Keangnam region Park Soo-kwan on December 19 visited and presented gifts to coach Park Hang-seo and Vietnam's U23 football team, who are at a training session in Tongyeong City, RoK.

Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tu congratulated U23 the team and coach Park Hang-seo on clinching their first-ever SEA Games gold medal in men’s football.

He called on the entire team to promote the Vietnamese spirit and gain further success in the important matches ahead.

Honorary Consul General Park Soo-kwan highly appreciated the proud victories of the Vietnam national U23 football team under the leadership of coach Park Hang-seo, stressing that Vietnamese football has developed remarkably and has risen into a formidable opponent in Asia and in the Southeast Asian region in particular.

He also conveyed his hope that the team will in the ticket to the final 2022 World Cup qualifying round.

On behalf of the national U23 squad, player Nguyen Quang Hai expressed his thanks to the Ambassador and the Honorary Consul General for their congratulations and encouragement, reaffirming that the team will exert more effort and practice even harder to gain higher achievements.
