Bac Giang decorates urban area to welcome upcoming 31st SEA Games

(BGO) – To prepare for badminton event of the 31st Southeast Asian Games to be held in Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) from May 16 – 22, 2022, Bac Giang Urban Project Management Joint Stock Company (Company) has implemented various tasks to beautify and clean up routes and areas in the city.

The Company repaired and replaced new electronic panel, welcome gate, decorating and illuminating lighting systems at several routes of Hung Vuong, Hoang Van Thu and Xuong Giang among others. Besides, the Company beautified the urban trees, flowers; upgraded the technical infrastructure in some roads; cut off unnecessary telecommunication cables.

The panels are decorated near the provincial Sports Competition Hall.

In April, the Company reinforced to operate road sweeper to clean up the roads and water trees at major roads in the city, around the provincial Sports Competition Hall and Muong Thanh hotel.

The People’s Committee in the communes and ward together with competent agencies launched peak period to clean up environment and beautify the street.

The badminton event at the 31st SEA Games is expected to welcome 127 athletes from eight participating countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.

As the defending champions, U23 Vietnam are the first seeded team at SEA Games 31 for both men's and women's football.
