Bac Giang delegation wins six medals at 2022 National Badminton Championships

(BGO) – After seven day competition, the 2022 National Badminton Championships – Thanh Cong Cup wrapped up on March 30 at Le Trung Kien Gymnasium in Tuy Hoa city (Phu Yen province). Bac Giang delegation won six medals.

The event drew more than 250 players from 29 clubs in 16 provincies, cities and sectors nationwide to vie for medals at various age groups from 14 to 55 in such categories of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mix doubles, men’s team and women’s team.

Athlete Tran Thi Phuong Thuy (Bac Giang province) wins gold medal at women’s singles event.

The championship was co-hosted by Vietnam Badminton Federation and Phu Yen provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

22 members in Bac Giang delegation participated in the tourney and won six medals (one gold, two silvers and three bronzes).

The gold winner was Tran Thi Phuong Thuy at women’s singles content. The duos of Pham Van Hai – Nguyen Thi Sen and Vu Anh Tuan – Ho Thi Thanh Mai bagged two silver medals at mix doubles category.

The bronze medals were awarded to the mix couples of Vu Tuan Anh – Than Van Anh as well as men doubles of Nguyen Hong Son – Le Hong Trung and Nguyen Van Cuong – Nguyen Anh Ngoc.

The event helped boost up badminton practicing movement across the nation and select outstanding athletes for upcoming championships.

Bac Giang sport team won first overall ranking with two gold and three bronze medals.

(BGO) – The awarding ceremony was jointly held on December 8 evening at the Sports Competition Hall in Bac Giang province by Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Badminton Federation and provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to honor players with good achievement at team category of 2021 National Badminton Championships.

(BGO) – On November 29, Bac Giang sport delegation successfully competed at National Badminton Championships 2021 for the Middle Age and Older People recently co-hosted by Vietnam Association for the Elderly, Vietnam Sports Administration and Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Lai Chau province with second overall ranking.
