(BGO) - On April 24, the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA) launched training course to provide knowledge and skills to 77 volunteers serving badminton competition at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) in Bac Giang province.
At the provincial Gymnasium, the volunteers were provided with SEA Games 31 information, ceremonies of diplomatic and sport reception, information about sport and local tourism.

Also, they were instructed to practise skills in group relating to assist and guide delegations, receive and welcome, master of ceremonies, interprete, serve at the competition venue and accommodation place, pick up and support the guest at medical, airport, hotel among others.
As schedule, Bac Giang will be the official competition place for badminton at SEA Games 31 from May 16 - 25, 2022 with about 130 athletes from eight participating countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam. The reception and serving tasks take place from May 1 - 24, 2022.

DoFA cooperated with provincial Youth Union and local Organization Committee for SEA Games 31 to select 77 qualified volunteers who are students and teachers at provincial educational establishment. They can communicate in English or other languages of South East Asian countries with good political quality, health and appearance, high responsibility and enthusiasm and at least two Covid-19 vaccine shots.
Previously on March 3, the volunteers were provided by lecturer of Reception Sub-Committees for SEA Games 31 with general knowledge and skill for task implementation.

The training programmes help volunteer enhance knowledge about sports, culture, tourism, people and localities; gain communicative skills, well full fill the task to serve SEA Games 31 to promote image and development potential of Vietnam, including Bac Giang to international friends.
