Bac Giang volunteers practise skills to serve SEA Games 31

(BGO) - On April 24, the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA) launched training course to provide knowledge and skills to 77 volunteers serving badminton competition at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) in Bac Giang province.

At the provincial Gymnasium, the volunteers were provided with SEA Games 31 information, ceremonies of diplomatic and sport reception, information about sport and local tourism.

Two bilingual masters of ceremonies join training course to serve SEA Games 31.

Also, they were instructed to practise skills in group relating to assist and guide delegations, receive and welcome, master of ceremonies, interprete, serve at the competition venue and accommodation place, pick up and support the guest at medical, airport, hotel among others.

As schedule, Bac Giang will be the official competition place for badminton at SEA Games 31 from May 16 - 25, 2022 with about 130 athletes from eight participating countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam. The reception and serving tasks take place from May 1 - 24, 2022.

DoFA cooperated with provincial Youth Union and local Organization Committee for SEA Games 31 to select 77 qualified volunteers who are students and teachers at provincial educational establishment. They can communicate in English or other languages of South East Asian countries with good political quality, health and appearance, high responsibility and enthusiasm and at least two Covid-19 vaccine shots.

Previously on March 3, the volunteers were provided by lecturer of Reception Sub-Committees for SEA Games 31 with general knowledge and skill for task implementation.

The volunteers sit for a test to check the knowledge about sports and local tourism.

The training programmes help volunteer enhance knowledge about sports, culture, tourism, people and localities; gain communicative skills, well full fill the task to serve SEA Games 31 to promote image and development potential of Vietnam, including Bac Giang to international friends.

Bac Giang works early to ensure public security and social order for SEA Games 31

(BGO) - The Northern province of Bac Giang is firstever selected to host badminton at the 31st South East Asian Games (SEA Games 31). To contribute to the success of event, the leader of provincial Public Security directed all forces to well prepare the human resources and programmes to early ensure the public security and social order.

(BGO) - Implementing the direction from Director of Bac Giang provincial Public Security and Mobile Police High Command, the Mobile Police Division has prepared and practised the programmes to ensure the public security serving the 31st South East Asian Games (SEA Games 31) since early April 2022.

(BGO) - From Bac Giang Newspaper Run, many talent young athletes have been detected, nurtured to grow up, including Nguyen Thi Oanh, a record holder of South East Asian Games (SEA Games) who was born in 1995 in My Ha village, Lang Giang district.

 

Bac Giang to complete preparation for SEA Games 31 before May 1

(BGO) - On April 13, Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Anh Duong paid a field trip to inspect the preparation to host badminton event at the upcoming 31st South East Asian Games (SEA Games 31).
