Quang Ninh begins construction of social housing project with nearly 1,000 apartments

The People’s Committee of Ha Long City in Quang Ninh Province commenced construction of a social housing project for nearly 1,000 apartments in Ha Long City’s Hong Hai Ward and Cao Thang Ward on October 30.

The project covers a total area of 25,900m2, including over 7,400m2 of construction land.

The project has three apartment buildings, including two 19-storey buildings and one 17-story building with a total construction floor area of about 125,220.3 m2.

It requires total investment capital of about 1.3 trillion VND (52.3 million USD) and is expected to be completed and put into use by the first quarter of 2026.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province Nguyen Tuong Van emphasised that the social housing project in Ha Long is among the major social housing projects in the province and is located in the province’s most beautiful and prime location with synchronous and modern technical infrastructure.

Upon its completion, the project will provide accommodation for more than 3,880 workers and low-income people.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh said that the implementation of the social housing project is an important event that will contribute to solving the housing needs for low-income people across the country in general and in Quang Ninh Province in particular.

Nearly 1.27 million workers receive housing benefits

Nearly 1.27 million workers have received housing rent allowances worth a total of 876 billion VND (37.4 million USD) as of August 15, according to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).

 

Bac Giang to pay housing rent support for labours before August 25

99 percent of labours with approved decision receive housing rent support

(BGO) - Implementing Decision No.08/2022/QD-TTg on March 28 of Prime Minister about implementing housing rent support for labours (Decision 08), so far Bac Giang city and three districts of Viet Yen, Yen Dung and Hiep Hoa have received proposals from 596 turns of businesses to support more than 171,200 turns of labours with total amount of nearly 88 billion VND (3.76 million USD).

Housing rent support timely removes difficulties, ensures progress

(BGO) – The northern province of Bac Giang is one of localities gaining positive result in disbursing expenses for labour housing rent support in line with Prime Minister’s Decision No.08 on March 28 2022. However, all sectors and levels have focused on various implementation solutions to ensure the progress of document reception before the deadline of August 15, 2022 to timely pay for labours.
