(BGO) – On December 19, Bac Giang Sports Delegation won two more golds at the 9th National Sports Games.
Particularly, Bac Giang duo Pham Van Hai and Than Thi Van Anh excellently won gold medal at badminton’s mixed doubles event after defeating Hanoi couples Do Tuan Duc and Pham Nhu Thao at the final match held in Sport Gymnasium in Dong Trieu city (Quang Ninh province).

Completing badminton competition from December 11 – 19, 2022, 14 members of Bac Giang badminton team won 5 medals (one gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals) at nine categories.
At the same day, track and field athlete Pham Tien San of Bac Giang delegation also bagged a gold at Triathlon, making up total number of medal to 5 in track and field game, exceeding two golds against the target. 4 gold medals were awarded to Nguyen Thi Oanh, especially a new record at women’s 10,000 meter race after 33 minutes 13 seconds 23.
Also, Bac Giang wrestlers won 3 silvers at final matched of traditional wrestling games held at the provincial Center of Sport Training and Competition in the evening of December 19. The medalists were Nguyen Van Tuyen at 54kg weight group, Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son at 69 kg weight group and To Minh Hau at 72 kg weight group.
