(BGO)- After 3 years postponed and reduced competition contents, the 40th Bac Giang Newspaper Run 2023 will be kicked off on the morning of March 26 at the 3/2 square (Bac Giang city). The tournament was jointly held by Bac Giang Newspaper, the provincial Youth Union, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training.
This year, each district and city will send 4 teams competing at the categories: women’s event, men’s event, young men’s event and young women’s event and register for 4 athletes competing at each event.

In the men’s event, the athletes will run in the distance of 6 km while the distance for women’s event will be 3 km. The distance for the young men’s event is 4.5 km and 2.5 km distance is for the young women’s event. For junior high school students (the category of the Divisions of Education and Training), each Education and Training division of the districts and city will send 1 male team and 1 female team (4 athletes per each team) competing at men’s 3km event and women’s 2km event.
The team’s category (53 athletes per each team) including participants from junior high schools, high schools, vocation schools, colleges, universities, Department of Public Security, the provincial Military Command, Ha Bac Nitrogenous Fertilizer & Chemicals Joint Stock Company and health clubs will run in 1,000m distance.
The Organizing Board will rate and give awards to excellent individuals, teams and young athletes and present cup to winning delegation.
Currently, the Organizing Board is receiving registration for competition, preparing necessary facilities and collaborating to ensure security and order, traffic safety, health care, decoration and advertisement for the event.
