To meet tourism growth demand in Bac Giang city during the 2017-2020 period and to make progress, the municipal Party Committee’s standing board requested local Party committees and authorities in the city to strictly follow Resolution 04-NQ/TU on the Bac Giang tourism development for 2016-2020, which was released by the board on March 20, 2016. This would help change the awareness of the Party committees, authorities and people in the city on tourism development, considering it an important task that contributes to boosting local socio-economic growth.

Accordingly, Bac Giang city will continue paying attention to tourism planning and planning management, particularly when its administrative boundary is expanded.

It will provide favourable conditions for organisations and individuals to invest in urban infrastructure and entertainment centres, as well as a number of potential tourist destinations such as Nham Bien mountain (Dong Son commune), two banks of Thuong River, Coc Lam Temple (Dinh Tri commune), Xuong Giang historical site (Xuong Giang ward), and Phu Temple (Hoang Van Thu ward).

The city is focusing on promoting its people and land, culture, traditional craft villages, historical sites, and tourist destinations while increasing State management over tourism activities and ensuring security, order and environmental hygiene as well as tourists’ safety. The instruction also stressed the need to improve tourism human resources toward professionalism.

The board asked the municipal fatherland front committee, socio-political organisations, and commune-level people’s committees to speed up the implementation of the instruction and include tourism development in local annual socio-economic development plans.
