“When coming to Vietnam, I have opportunities to join exciting activities which we can find no where. Your wet-rice agriculture is very interesting. I will come back Vietnam to experience more and more”, said David, an American tourist.
In line with farming experience, tourists can glimpse at the antiques preserved by his family for hundreds of years such as horizontal lacquered board, pairs of wood panels, incense table and ancestral tablets. This tourism experience model provides jobs for 4 local laborers.
After 4 months, Du’s family has welcome 30 foreign visitors from America, Netherlands, Thailand, Sweden, Russia, Germany, Canada and Australia.
In addition, more than 100 partners being tourism agencies, restaurants, hotels and tourist guides visited the model to book tour for their costumers.

“It is the very first step. If the quantity of visitors remains stable, my family will cooperate to expand more experiencing activities in coming time”, said Du.
The countryside tourism products not only bring income for local people but also provide visitors with new experiences. Thanks to the tourism experience models like Du’s family, foreign visitors will understand more about wet-rice agriculture and rural life in Vietnam.
It helps to diversify local tourism products and promote cultural values of the homeland while contributing to awakening pride in each grass root and motivating them to enrich their family on their own land.
